Position Summary
Department of Kinesiology at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is hiring a full-time fixed-term instructor. Main responsibilities include teaching Basic Instruction Program (BIP) Physical Activity (single-credit) courses, which are designed to allow all MSU students to be physically active, learn a new sport, and engage with fellow students and instructors from diverse backgrounds to improve overall well-being. Depending on the candidate’s expertise and background, responsibilities may also include teaching Undergraduate courses in the area, such as KIN 400/401 (Principles of Coaching I and II), and/or assisting with aspects of the Master’s in Sport Coaching, Leadership, and Administration. Required Degree
Doctorate - Kinesiology or a related discipline (e.g., coaching, sport psychology, sport management, strength and conditioning, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants will be ranked based upon education, Ph.D.- Assistant Professor, Master’s – Instructor.
1-3 years of teaching or coaching experience
Current Adult CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain before start date
Bloodborne Pathogens training required (provided upon hire)
Desired Qualifications
Teaching experience at postsecondary levels
Experience coaching/teaching various sports
