Job Description
Position Purpose & Responsibilities:
This position serves **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Office of Institutional Effectiveness by engaging in research to support data-informed decision-making.
Under general supervision, gather, create, and analyze data using descriptive statistical techniques that result in the generation of reports appropriate to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading efforts on the update, maintenance, and improvement of standing internal reports and external reporting as well as:
Coordinate, oversee, and update standing internal reports for units of the College to support administrative decision making and operational processes.
Design, analyze, and create ad hoc reports for units of the College to support administrative decision making and operational processes.
Assist in the design, conversion, and/or creation of data visualization/automation for use by internal stakeholders of the institution to promote a data driven culture.
Coordinate and oversee a set of standing external data reports.
Coordinate and oversee institutional data integrity check processes.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social science, computer science, statistics, or related field (or combination of relevant work experience and college education).
Experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing data.
Experience in descriptive statistics.
Experience using Microsoft PowerBI.
Ability to plan and implement research projects, which rely on the use of a student database system and data warehouses.
Ability to work with complex data sets; maintain data quality and engage in validation.
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; ability to prioritize and follow through on projects. Ability to react to changing situations and adapt to change in work demands, priorities, and procedures.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
Proficiency with relational database management (Veera, Access, R/R Studio, etc.), word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Knowledge and experience in the use of data visualization and statistical analysis software.
Preferred Qualifications

Extensive experience using Rapid Insight Veera Construct or Microsoft Access
Experience with Python for data analysis.
Experience working with Minnesota State higher education data.
Experience in an institutional research office.
