This position is responsible for the strategic planning, goal setting, professional staff supervision, and day-to-day operations of the Employer Relations Team which include: student, alumni, staff, and faculty outreach; employer engagement, including job and internship listings, career fairs, panels, career treks, and on-campus/virtual interviews, and assessment of programs and services.
Essential Functions
Employer Relations and Outreach:
Conceptualizes, plans, and implements comprehensive engagement program to establish and cultivate relationships with targeted employers and organizations through panels, career fairs, employer information sessions, on-campus/virtual interviews, site visits, and outreach. Develops ongoing marketing strategies to bring greater visibility of KSB students to relevant employers and industries. Actively participates in a variety of consortia groups/associations and reviews relevant research and news to keep abreast of trends in the job market. Manages portfolio of employer relationships. Facilitates outreach to prospective and active employers through identification, solicitation, and stewardship. Conducts employer meetings to build portfolio and maintain current relationships. Represents OCE to a variety of audiences, including alumni, employers, students, prospective students and their families, staff, and faculty. Coordinates with Kogod in Practice (KIP) on employer engagement for all KSB programs.
Strategic Planning & Program Management:
Develops annual and long-term strategic plans related to employer outreach and engagement; integrates long-range planning into day-to-day management of supervised staff (Associate Director, Employer Relations, Assistant Director, Career Events and Operations, and part-time staff as assigned). Leads Employer Relations team, sets goals, evaluates performance, and provides staff members with the opportunity to grow professionally, while creating a work environment conducive to individual effort as well as team interaction; responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training staff as appropriate. Works closely with leadership and colleagues to develop collaborative opportunities as well as smoothly-running programs at Kogod. Leads staff meetings, project and hiring committees, and other initiatives related to the fulfillment of the Office of Career Engagement (OCE)'s mission as assigned. Develops employer strategy to serve international student outcomes. Strategizes address identified gaps in student interests/qualifications and career opportunities available. Implements targeted engagement plan for underrepresented industry areas by capitalizing on alumni networks as source of career education and job/internship opportunities.

Work Environment
Relationship Management with Key Institutional Partners
: Develops and manages relationships with key institutional partners (e.g., AU Career Center, Alumni Relations, Development, Faculty/Staff leadership, Admissions, Academic Programs) to foster collaboration towards shared goals/objectives and leverage overlapping missions.
Assessment:
Directs semi-annual reporting and assessment of unit's functions and contributes to the comprehensive annual report. Conducts local and national benchmarking across employer relations programs to inform policies and planning. Maintains awareness of trends in job search strategies, job market trends, employer relations and talent acquisition methodologies, internship programs, and the application of technology in the delivery of related services.Collaborates with Director and Associate Director of Data Analytics to deploy surveys and assessment tools to further understand client needs, student outcomes, rankings, and patterns in recruiting.
Resources Management
: Works with staff to offer input on design of technology upgrades and new applications of technology to deliver services to students, alumni, and employers. Serves as a super-user for Handshake; troubleshoots problems and develops policies and best practices for optimal use of the recruiting module.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Supports KSB on special projects, represents KSB on university-level and school-level working groups; participates in other activities as directed.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree
Position requires solid communication and computer skills, along with excellent interpersonal, team-building, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to lead and participate in multiple team projects.
Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Related experience in business, human resource management, Graduate Career Services in a business school, or working with experienced professionals who are in career transition is required.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree
8-10 years of relevant experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a fast-paced professional service firm environment, certification in executive or career coaching, experience in a comparable role in another graduate business school, and/or extensive network of corporate or alumni contacts through previous work experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Experience in employer outreach or related experience.
Highly organized and outcomes orientation.
Excellent communication skills, team player, high level of technology awareness, especially as it pertains to the career field.
