Position Summary
The Department of Art, Art History, and Design at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. invites applications for a fixed-term, full-time Assistant Professor for our Electronic Art and Intermedia program. The position is non-renewable and will begin August 16, 2023.
The ideal candidate will teach courses such as 4D, Projection mapping, Interactive Media, or a course that works with creative processes using AI and/or a code. The right candidate will be capable of teaching both graduate and undergraduate coursework.
The Electronic Art and Intermedia program offers a unique interdisciplinary approach that combines art, science and computational media. Artists have a unique role in exploring technologies and scientific concepts, and we encourage our students to push the boundaries of traditional art practices by incorporating these elements. Faculty and students have access to cutting-edge technology and equipment, including various experimental and traditional 3D printers, laser cutters, a CNC router and virtual reality systems. They also have the opportunity to work with scientists and other researchers to explore scientific concepts and create art that engages with these ideas. Our program emphasizes critical thinking, ethics and social responsibility, ensuring that our graduates are well-rounded artists who are prepared to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

PhD in computational media, New Media/Intermedia Arts, or related field
