Job Description:
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position as Lecturer of General Chemistry beginning Fall 2021. Expectations include, but are not limited to, teaching and continuing professional development.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is part of the School of Sciences, which consists of 10 academic departments and 2,400 students majoring in 22 programs. Candidates are also expected to actively participate in departmental and university life.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications: master's degree or higher in chemistry or a closely related discipline; ability to teach courses in introductory and general chemistry.
Preferred: PhD in chemistry or closely related discipline; experience teaching college level chemistry, and experience working with diverse populations and/or teaching pedagogies and/or multicultural teaching experience.
