The Department of Counseling at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin mid-August 2022. The position is responsible for teaching, research, and service to support the CACREP accredited master’s (School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling) and doctoral (Counselor Education and Counseling) programs.
The position’s 3/2 teaching load will be built around the successful candidate’s interests and program needs. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to advise students and direct dissertation work. Beyond teaching and advising responsibilities, candidates are expected to develop a strong research program incorporating grant funding in relevant areas of Counselor Education and Supervision.
Required Qualifications
A doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program at time of hire
License eligible in Montana (LCPC and/or School Counseling)
Evidence of excellence in teaching and supervision
Evidence of potential for successful scholarly activity, including grant activity
Demonstrated commitment to social justice, anti-racism, and inclusion in counselor education
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge and experience in addictions counseling
Knowledge and experience in couple and family counseling
Interest and experience in qualitative research
