Title: Title I Middle School Math Teacher (1.0 FTE)
Reports to: Principal
Location: Curtis Middle School
Position Summary:
This individual works directly with middle school teachers in the classroom and provides support for 6-8 mathematics curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development. Working in collaboration with the PK-8 Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator, Middle School Principal, and other Math Instructional Coaches in order to build instructional capacity in the classroom and advance the learning of all students within the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Model lessons, co-teach, and support classroom teachers with effective, research-based strategies in mathematics instruction;
· Provide support and resources for classroom teachers to enable effective differentiation for students who struggle with content and those who require additional challenge;
· Work with teaching staff around the implementation of the Massachusetts learning standards, available materials, equipment and resources in mathematics;
· Consult with, and assist individual teachers to interpret, articulate and implement Sudbury’s curriculum;
· Work with the mathematics Curriculum Coordinator to develop and analyze various forms of assessment and student achievement data including, but not limited to, MCAS and common grade level assessments to identify areas in need of improvement;
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Principal.
Classification: SEA Unit Position
Work Year: 183 days
Funding: This position is solely funded through the Title I grant and therefore employment is contingent upon available funding
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience based on the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Hiring is contingent upon a successful CORI and fingerprinting clearance. All finalists will be required to provide official transcripts.

Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s required; Master’s Degree preferred;
· Massachusetts license as Middle School Math Teacher through DESE;
· Experience teaching Mathematics preferred;
· Experience and demonstrated skill as an effective communicator and collaborator. Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
