Profile

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of equivalent experience
Mastery of grammar, rhetoric, punctuation and spelling.
Must be able to work independently in high paced environment ;
but also thrive under a team concept with the office staff
Training and/or experience in the use of office equipment such as telephone, two-way radios, personal computers, photocopiers, printers, fax machines, intercom, etc.
Proficient in computer applications – including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, and Google docs.
Sound judgment, discretion and decorum in dealing with students, parents/guardians, staff and administrators. Adhering to confidentiality around students, student families and personnel issues is a must.
Strong organizational skills are highly desired. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work schedule to promote smooth and efficient work flow.
First Aid knowledge and training preferred.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Answer phones, takes messages, greet visitors, respond to their needs.
Point person for all attendance management, which includes daily communication with teachers, students and families, using PowerSchool
Monitor school security cameras and admit visitors using the school security system. Ensure all visitors sign in and out of the building.
Processes incoming mail for filing, prioritization, follow-up, disposal or further distribution.
Maintain a safe, orderly and neat office space.
Processes time sheets, purchase orders, work orders and facility requests.
Order and maintains inventory of school supplies.
Prepares and files confidential documents as requested.
Performs routine office duties such as typing, filing, photocopying, computing data, data entry and school mailings.
Complies with Board and administrative policies, regulations, and procedures and reinforces students' doing the same.
Attend scheduled staff/faculty meetings as requested.
Prepare/Complete appropriate reports/paperwork.
Regular attendance in accordance with established days/hours of work.
Perform other tasks and duties as appropriate and/or assigned.
Adherence to district safety policies
Assist in tracking absences and coordinating substitutes.
Back up for the Guidance Administrative Assistant and Planning Room
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - PHYSICAL DEMANDS.
Possess visual acuity and stamina to work at a computer monitor as needed each day.
Possess strength and stamina to be able to remain in stationary position for up to 90 minutes at a time throughout the workday.
Ability to hear, speak, and communicate with individuals in person and via telephone or other devise or equipment.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Frequent moving about the building, light lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing (stairs) or other limited physical activities, often in multi-storied buildings without elevator access.

Work environment is a regular office or other school setting.
Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buildings.
Occasional exposure to weather extremes.
Ability to tolerate extremes in noise levels.
Ability to tolerate stressful situations and maintain proper decorum.
