Essential Job Duties:

This position would serve as a member of our conference team. We are looking for an expert multi-tasker with strong communication skills and an upbeat attitude to lead our marketing and fundraising activities related to the Conference. Candidates should be able to handle administrative tasks related to donor outreach and management; fundraising; providing polite and professional assistance via phone, email, and email to University and external partners; supporting events engaging external partners; and providing conference support. A positive attitude and sense of humor is a must.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of a marketing plan for the 2022 Conference.
Engage potential sponsors with the intent to raise funds for the conference.
Close sponsorship deals.
Represent and manage the interests of sponsors with the Conference planning team.
Support sponsors during the conference to ensure sponsor interests are met. This includes ensuring sponsor booths and events are successful.
Maintain polite and professional communications via phone, e-mail, and mail to key partners within UNC and the outside community.
Required Qualifications:
Must be experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have experience in marketing/fundraising or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to compose coherent and grammatically correct emails and correspondence.
