Student Support Services Assistant
DESCRIPTION:
Flynn Elementary School is seeking an individual committed to supporting the individual needs of a students. This indidivusasl will provide the approrpiate lvvel. of care in order to facilitate and supplement the educational process under the direction of a professional staff member. Responsibilities include communication with teachers, nurses and other school employees, carrying out support plans designed by the nursing staff, managing behavior, teaching self regulation skills, and facilitating social engagement with peers. Physical responsibilities include lifting, carrying, personal care, and the ability to assess a situation and respond quickly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include but not limited to: high school diploma plus at least 2 years additional education; minimum of two years experience in education or related field; ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents and school staff.
