The Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) unit at the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a graduate research assistant for the Workforce Diversity Portfolio. The graduate research assistant reports to the Director, Faculty and Educational Initiatives. The AAMC demonstrates commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion by developing strategic initiatives to cultivate a diverse and culturally prepared workforce, advance inclusion excellence, imbue equity advancement and enhance engagement and collaborations with local communities.

Through the development of research, programs and strategic partnerships, the portfolio strives to inspire the next generation of physicians, faculty and leaders, and facilitate an accessible and inclusive pathway to a career in healthcare and academic medicine.
The graduate assistant's responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assisting with report writing and other publication development
Conducting scholarly literature searches and summarizing findings
Developing case studies based upon diversity best practices
Assisting in data collection and analysis (i.e., qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed methods)
Assisting with program evaluation and research projects
Managing and updating databases
Creating charts and summaries associated with data
Conducting internet research
Developing presentation content for varied audiences
Assisting with the creation of leadership curriculum and training materials
Providing administrative and logistical support for research projects.
Job responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Conducting scholarly literature searches and summarizing findings,
Performing data collection and analysis (i.e., qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed methods),
Managing and updating databases,
Creating charts and summaries associated with data,
Assisting with program evaluation and research projects,
Conducting internet research,
Assisting with report writing,
Content development for PowerPoint presentations,
Assisting with development of leadership curriculum and training materials,
Updating website content
As well as occasional administrative work.
What you'll bring to the role
Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in equity, diversity, and inclusion; prior experience in higher education, medical education and health professions education, education, STEM professions, policy, or and an understanding of other higher education-related conceptual and theoretical frameworks.
Strong preference for applicants with intermediate-level quantitative and/or qualitative research experience (e.g., conducting DEI-related focus group and interviews; analyzing qualitative data).
Interns will be assigned to projects that complement the needs of the department at the discretion of their supervisor. An effort will be made to assign interns to projects that match their specific interests and areas of study.

If a bachelor's degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
