, which vary in terms of focus and duties. These positions report directly to the Program Manager of each department. The Education Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the department administrative leadership, faculty, students and staff. This position covers main office reception and provides front line general information. This role assists with processing of documentation and disseminating information, scheduling and reservations. This role manages office logistical details and ensures smooth daily business operation of the administrative office. This position will also assist in coordinating and administering scholarships and certificate programs; publicize the education programs and special events within the department; facilitate student registration, and maintain program content on department website.Here are a few specifics regarding the current opportunities available: where do you see yourself?

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The Department of Geography Education Program Coordinator will:
Maintain calendars for department-controlled rooms and assist faculty with reservations for centrally scheduled rooms.
Gather and electronically archive semester specific forms including syllabi and student registration documents.
Provide support for basic website editing and maintenance.
The Department of WGST Education Program Coordinator will:
Manage and update all aspects of WGST and LGBTQ Studies websites, including writing announcements and news items. Write, design, produce, and distribute newsletters and informational emails to students and alumni.
Serve as a lead worker and assigns tasks for student assistants.
Serve as department liaison to multiple campus units (OIT, Parking, Access Services) and as building proctor for the historic Hazel Gates Woodruff Cottage.
Maintain organization of and sort and incorporate materials into Cottage reading room.
Both positions will:
Plan, prioritize, and run the workflow of the department's undergraduate programs (major/minor/certificates), including scholarships/award administration and catalog updates.
Plan logistics and coordinate execution of department events and commencement activities, including procurement of goods and services, and crafting and distributing promotional materials.
Supervise and facilitate administration of course and registration activities including student registration, waitlist management, textbook adoptions, and special enrollments (honors, independent study, internship).
Seek to improve efficiency and recommend process modifications and improvements based on analysis of operations, and work closely with department personnel to better define objectives and goals.
Gather information and build posters for course advertising.
Serve as departmental final grade liaison.
Develop and maintain diverse databases related to program operations.
Provide reception and front-line administrative support for the main office by providing general information, answering calls and distributing department mail.
Provide support to department constituents with spreadsheets, designing and creating office procedures, forms and records tracking systems, and copying.
Manage filing systems, maintain department list serves, and publish office hours.
Ensure copy machine and other office equipment is functional.

The 50% Geography Coordinator work schedule will be: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
The 75% Women and Gender Studies Coordinator work schedule will be within standard Monday - Friday business hours.

What We Require
Three years of general clerical or administrative experience.
Education related to the work assignment may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
What You Will Need
Proficient computer knowledge and skills with Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop, Google Drive, OneDrive, and MS Office applications, particularly with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with a variety of professionals, administrators, and students.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and assume responsibility for initiating and completing critical functions in the management of educational programs.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and within other collaborative work situations.
Demonstrated ability to learn and perfect new systems and skills.
What We Would Like You To Have
An Associate's degree or higher is preferred, but not required.
Four years of general clerical or administrative experience.
