Summary of Job Purpose and Principal Duties
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a Senior Lecturer in Management within an experienced and ambitious academic staff who work together to provide excellent professional education and transform lives through their teaching, research and public engagement activities. The successful candidate would be expected to take on leadership roles within the discipline and School and to take an active role in the teaching, design and leadership of our UG and Masters programmes, which includes an MSc Management and BSc Business Management, and any new programmes we will develop in the field. Expertise in Human Resource Management or Leadership would be particularly welcome.
Summary of Skills, Experience and Qualifications
PhD in a relevant subject
Clear evidence of excellence in University learning and teaching
Demonstrated experience of excellent University teaching
Travel internationally to deliver module and programme content in an engaging and interactive manner
Track record of developing and applying innovating and appropriate teaching techniques and material which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students
Demonstrated experience of module and programme design and leadership
Regularly publish outputs considered as intellectual contributions according to AACSB guidelines
Mentor colleagues and advise on personal development
Experience of curriculum development and review
Experience of setting, marking, assessing work and examinations and providing feedback to students
Experience of supervision of undergraduate and/or taught postgraduate student projects
Develop ideas for generating income and promoting the subject
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Evidence of ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others
Evidence of effective team membership and leadership
Ability to prioritise and balance competing demands
