LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE - SCIENCE TEACHER 3223653

Profile

Hunt Middle School is seeking a passionate and energetic Grade 7/8 Science Long Term Substitute Teacher to join a school committed to high levels of achievement of all students. The period of subbing would start December 5 and continue to at least December 22, 2022. This position requires working with current grade 7/8 science teachers to deliver standards based science lessons. The science substitute teacher will need to collaborate with a teaching team of 2 Humanities teachers, 1 math teacher and a special educator as well as working with the 7/8 science professional learning community team.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications:
Understanding of Cultural Competency (as explained through Essay 1 on SchoolSpring).
Knowledge of best practices regarding frameworks of student behavioral support.
Preferred Attributes:
Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
Endorsement in Middle School 7/8 Science or eligible for Vermont Provisional License
Experience subbing or teaching at the middle school level
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with Federal Law (FERPA)
Maintain a safe learning environment, take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
Maintain and enforce District Policies, regulations, and procedures
Prepare/complete appropriate reports/paperwork
Attendance in accordance with established days/hours of work
