This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available immediately on a permanent basis in the Education Welfare team.
Summary of the role
The role is part of the University’s Wellbeing and Welfare Team, operationally based within Education & Student Support. The Education Support Assistant (Welfare) will be managed by the Education Welfare manager for Penryn, who will have responsibility for a package of Health, Wellbeing and Support for Study (HWSS) activity and general welfare support.
This post will be expected to provide support to the Education welfare Advisor and Manager. This may take the form of arranging meetings with students and staff, triaging enquiries, taking minutes in meetings, and maintaining records for the team.
We are looking for a committed and organised individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and a good knowledge of confidentiality and Data Protection issues. The successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for supporting our students and the ability to remain calm and resilient when dealing with complex welfare situations.
