Job Description:
Job Summary:
Provides advising team with student application and retention support. Provides general administrative support for International Student Services. Provides first level contact for international students regarding program offerings, enrollment and transfer processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides first-line customer service to new applicants, returning students, and offshore partner staff regarding registration, general program information, and school processes.
Provides general administrative support to the international advising team, including collateral management, even preparation, reception related activities (phone and in-person), faxing, copying, filing, ordering and maintaining office supply inventory, processing incoming and outgoing mail, etc.
Maintains university CRM systems, including student data input, data reporting activities, etc.
Schedules advising appointments and English language placement tests.
Collects tuition and fees as necessary.
Responds to international student inquiries, applicant leads, and agents.
Processes international student applications.
Supports recruitment and outreach activities.
Provides support to the Designated School Official (DSO) for immigration purposes and performs DSO duties as assigned.
Maintains current knowledge on student related immigration regulations, procedures, and policies.
Assists with the agent billing process.
Coordinates housing placement with homestay company.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

US citizen/ Permanent Resident.
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or call center experience. Work experience in higher education setting preferred.
Knowledge of second language and/or experience living abroad preferred.
Must demonstrate a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving ability.
Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision, effectively prioritize work, multi-task and adjust to changing workloads and deadlines.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student, staff and faculty populations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Salary information:
$45,000 -- $50,000/year DOE
