The Department of Psychology is an outward-facing Department that embraces interdisciplinary work, particularly within the broad theme of Health and Wellbeing, and pushes the boundaries of psychological knowledge regionally, nationally and internationally. We continue to build on our research strengths after our first REF submission in 2021 and in our teaching strengths by training the next generation of 'Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners' at the behest of the NHS and we continue to broaden our suite of programmes in psychology. Applications from all areas of psychology will be considered.
Successful applicants will have submitted or completed a PhD in Psychology or a related discipline, will have some experience of teaching undergraduates and will have demonstrated potential for high quality published outputs. They will show a trajectory of developing into internationally excellent research leaders and will be supported to do so by our mentoring provision offered by well-qualified and experienced senior staff.
