Job Description:
Job Summary:
Provides focused leadership for all **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. academic programs delivered in Canada, ensuring quality and growth. Responsible for oversight and management of the University's academic affairs for all Canadian programs and sites. Provides leadership, planning, direction, and management to the academic units located at the Canadian sites to ensure they are of the highest academic quality. Represents the University in the external community at large, and with peer institutions of higher education. Participates as part of the President's Leadership Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guides Program Directors in their supervision of the academic program and faculty; sets goals and measures and reports results.
In consultation with university leadership, represents the University to Canadian accrediting bodies; ensures that programs properly meet the needs of Canadian students and the standards of the Canadian accreditation bodies.
Provides direction in curriculum research and development.
Responsible for the resolution and disposition of student and/or faculty grievances in Canada.
Performs other duties as the President may assign from time to time.
Plans, organizes, and implements appropriate policies and practices for the delivery of programs in Canada.
Works with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness on assessment and program review processes.
Ensures that Canadian sites follow the University's academic policies and procedures.
Participates in community, business, and educational organizations that are relevant to the University's interests.
Collaborates with the VP of Canadian Operations and Enrollment on administrative matters in Canada. Works with the COO/VP of Finance in the development of and adherence to the budget for Academics and program strategy.
Maintains University relations in community, professional, and business organizations.
Identifies and assesses opportunities for new program development and program expansion.
Initiates and develops partnerships with other post-secondary educational institutions to evolve and implement programs.
Promotes and enhances collaboration among schools and departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leads the Academic and Associate Program Directors.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with CityU policies and applicable laws.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctorate degree or equivalent in a related field.
Experience representing a university in front of accrediting bodies.
Experience managing a diverse workforce in higher education.
Demonstrated effective, executive-level participation in educational strategic planning.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policies and procedures.
Wide-ranging experience in organizational development and organization management.
Proficiency with MS Office products.

Salary information:
CAD $140,000 - $180,000/year DOE
