The Faculty has always championed collaborative working and provided access to leading edge resources and in 2022 it will do so from an outstanding new immersive arts building that will push the boundaries of how we create and innovate across a range of exciting disciplines.
Within this Faculty, the School of Media and Performing Arts is an award-winning, industry led, creative hub that offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in film, photography and media production, music and acting, journalism and communication, digital and immersive media.
We are now looking to appoint an effective and adaptable specialist in Photography to deliver teaching, learning and assessment in Photography. You will be practice-based, passionate about education and employability and committed to developing industry-focused opportunities that enhance the student experience.
Successful candidates will undertake teaching, assessment and delivery within our BA (Hons) Photography, and MA Photography and Collaboration courses. On our courses, theory and practice inform each other, focusing on practices and topics such as socially-engaged and collaborative photographic practices; contemporary modes of production across the photographic industries; photobook publishing; post-photography; and curation. Applicants should have capabilities in utilising web/mobile/networked and social media platforms for academic purposes.
Applicants will have a significant track record of high-profile industry experience or professional practice in a relevant field, alongside degree-level qualifications and subject knowledge or a PhD.
Candidates without a teaching qualification will be required to undertake **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA fellowship; and must have a proven track record of delivering a first-class student experience within a higher education environment.
