The School of Community Resources and Development in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University invites applications for (one) full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track lecturer in nonprofit leadership and management. We seek to attract an active, culturally, and academically diverse candidate who will teach four courses per semester in nonprofit leadership and management. The appointment will begin in either Summer or Fall 2022.

(SCRD) is one of the four schools in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate level, deliver excellent in-class instruction and participate in service activities for the college, profession, and community. Additional activities may include supervising senior thesis projects and participation in master degree committees. Possible courses include, but are not limited to, Voluntary Action and Community Leadership, Leadership and Ethics, Financial Management for Nonprofit Organizations, The Nonprofit Sector, Philanthropy, and Social Entrepreneurship. Though research is not a requirement of the position, there may be opportunities to collaborate with other faculty and community partners on projects and grants.
Required Qualifications
An earned master’s degree in nonprofit studies, public affairs, business, or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.
Three years of related nonprofit and teaching experience (Related experience may include prior teaching, practitioner experience, and/or experience leading and facilitating presentations, training, and other activities).
Demonstration and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Desired Qualifications
Earned doctorate in nonprofit studies, public affairs, business or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.
Demonstrated prior higher education teaching or guest lecturing experience.
Demonstrated evidence of successful collaboration with the community in partnership building.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of trends in the field to best prepare the nonprofit professional of the future.
Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
Demonstrated experience with technology/course management systems.
Demonstrated ability to teach online and in-person modalities.

2. A complete curriculum vitae or résumé.
3. Evidence of teaching effectiveness such as student or peer evaluations, syllabi, assignments, student portfolios, or training materials you have designed (a maximum of three pieces of evidence required).
4. The names and contact information of three references (name, title, organization, e-mail address, phone number). At least one reference needs to be a current and/or past supervisor.
5. Applicants will be expected to give a teaching demonstration if invited for an interview.
