Qualifications
MA DESE Educator License in Mathematics, 5-8 and/or 9-12 required
3 years-experience working in a middle grades or high school setting
Experience working with youth in summer preferred
Responsibilities
Employ clear and effective teaching practices to support students in conceptualizting and applying relevant math concepts from Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, /or Calculus
Lead morning Advisory period using provided curriculum
Use informal students assessment results to improve teaching strategies
Assign appropriate practice to students based on skills gaps and need for acceleration
Review student assignments to track progress and plan instruction, including pre-assessment results
Support student access to rigorous, grade-level content through intentional instructional design
Encourage and support students’ self-development (as owners of their learning) at all times
Evaluate and adapt short-term projects to fit the allotted time and targeted summer learning goals
Provide direct instruction for up to 2.5 hours each day
Facilitate an afternoon club with up to 10 students
Create an score pre-and post-assessments

Stipend: $35/hour
Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: Week of June 26, 2023
Program Schedule
July 10, 2023 – August 4, 2023
Monday through Friday, 9am-2pm, 5hrs/day
Up to 1.5 hrs/week of staff meetings and prep time
