**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time (10-month) tenure-track position in our APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology training program at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August, 2023. We seek applicants with a PhD from an APA-Accredited program to serve as a core faculty member. The area of scholarly emphasis for this position is open. We are especially interested in a collaborative colleague who will help us advance our goal of increasing diversity and inclusivity.
Responsibilities include contributing to graduate training across our four graduate programs through teaching and research. A typical teaching load is two courses per semester. In addition to standard service expectations, the faculty member would mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research and scholarship. They would serve on (and chair) students’ MA and PhD committees. At the graduate level, the new faculty member will teach several courses, many of which serve the Clinical Psychology program’s accreditation standards.
Specific courses
may
include the following: Ethics, Professional & Cultural Issues; Clinical Interventions; Assessment; Applied Clinical Methods (‘Practicum’), and courses to support our undergraduate curriculum. We seek applicants whose clinical competencies would add to our existing evidence-based approaches and would augment training opportunities for our students. Clinical licensure eligibility and pursuit of licensure in Montana are required.
New faculty members are provided a financial research start-up package, lab space, and reduced teaching responsibilities. Faculty members are expected to develop strong research programs in their areas of expertise and are encouraged to collaborate with faculty and students in other departmental research areas.
