We seek a Research Fellow in Electronic Engineering who will contribute to our recently funded 3 years EPSRC project on the development of smart medical textiles for treating lymphoedema. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team including **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Nottingham University Hospital. 
Research in the School of Science and Technology is extremely strong in terms of high quality outputs, funding income and international impact.
The Department of Engineering is characterised by an innovative approach to education in partnership with industry, emphasising innovation and project delivery on a foundation of core engineering expertise.
It is renowned for leading edge research, strong links with industry. The Department’s research strengths are clustered into groups comprising: Human Factors and Performance, Smart Materials, Medical Engineering Design, Smart Wearables, and Digital Innovation. The Department maintains strong international links in both research and teaching.
You will have a PhD degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and a track record in   research projects and publications. Preferred research areas include electronic textiles, electrical stimulation technologies, medical device design, flexible electronics, and printed electronics. We also welcome applicants with industrial and clinical experiences. You will be co-located in both Engineering and Medical Technology Innovation Facility (MTIF) which is a £23M investment dedicated to advancing medical devices and technologies. You will be working in Smart Medical Textiles Lab at MTIF where you will develop the novel printed respiratory sensor.
This is a 36 months project and
your contract may be renewed for another 12 or 24 months subject to the performance of the initial 12 months employment
. You must be able to start on 01 June 2022.
