The Integrated Arts Academy and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is accepting applications for an 0.5 FTE Academic Interventionist. Essential skills include comfort, competence, and knowledge in providing academic interventions for the elementary (k-5) grade set. Experience with co-teaching and/or collaborative teaching practices desired.

Scope of Work:
The role of the Academic Interventionist is to provide students with direct
instructional support using the MTSS Framework. The student intervention services model requires the use of district adopted resources within a structure informed by student achievement data. The Intervention Specialist is accountable for promoting standards-based literacy and numeracy instruction using multi-tiered and evidence-based interventions.
Essential Functions:
1. Use a data-based problem-solving model and appropriate evidence-based strategies to provide access to core instruction in both literacy and numeracy.
2. Provide students with direct instructional support using the MTSS Framework
3. Use of district adopted resources within a structure informed by student achievement data
Required Qualifications
Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.
Experience in curriculum instruction/interventions
School experience at the elementary level Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
Knowledge of elementary research-based best practices Preferred: Training and experience with English Language Learners Evidence of strong connection with students and families. Experience in a professional/teaching-learning community
Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction Experience in implementing inclusive practices Strong communication skills as evidenced through quality of resume and cover letter
