Job responsibilities and opportunities include: Teaching a range of high school history courses including 9th Grade (ancient and early modern) history and American history or government. Creating substantive semester elective courses on subjects/topics of choice, based on teacher expertise and interest. Experienced with teaching the skills of history including writing, analysis, interpretation, and research. Providing students with explicit, highly engaging instruction through the use of research-based teaching strategies as both the means and the end of instruction. Preparing students for progressively more complex history courses.
