Job Description
ECMS THEATRE TROUPE DIRECTOR will:
Choose an age-appropriate musical and/or play for middle school students
Attend pre-audition and post-casting parent meetings
Prepare for and hold auditions
Consult with administrators about casting decisions (must be students in good standing)
Collaborate with parent producer on various show requirements (including rehearsal locations, numbers for crew/crew member assignments, technical needs, etc.)
Collaborate with music director to create rehearsal schedule
Run staging/choreography rehearsals with cast
Collaborate with parent volunteers and designers on the technical elements of the show
Run tech rehearsal, over the weekend prior to opening night
Attend performances
Attend post-mortem meeting after final performance
Maintain school rules and values during entire process, including an understanding that school comes first
Stipend Amount: 7 units per appendix C of the SEA contract
