Sr. Research Program Supervisor
The Department of Pediatrics seeks a
Senior Research Program Supervisor
who will provide training, implementation and coordination for the Johns Hopkins site and 3 other research sites for the PUSH Study, Consent 2.0, and PrEP-related projects. The PUSH Study is a multidisciplinary research study that collaborates with a variety of academic, community partners and research institutions focused on recruitment and intervention of YMSM and transgender women.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Implementation and operationalization of research protocol at JHSPH/SOM and collaborating sites. Administration and Management including research study planning, milestone planning and oversight, study operations reporting, and management of sponsor reports.
Human Subjects Research Coordination including regulatory management, participant activities, data collection and management, data analysis and reporting, and compliance oversight.
Assisting with daily operations across all 3 PUSH sites. Ensure sites adhere to research protocols, data collection procedures, and all associated internal/external regulations.
Most of the job will consistent of performing independent action and being able to manage multiple employees and research sites.
Working with sites to update protocols, recruitment, site visits, etc.
Assist with and attend motivational training, as needed.
Assist with providing feedback to the coaches and navigators. Act as a back-up coach or provide coaching to a few participants to ensure study operates well.
Organize and manage Baltimore project staff to: Administer study data collection tools
Facilitate collection of required study labs spcimens
Schedule participant appointments, tests and follow-up visists at the appropriate time to ensure completion of protocol requirements
Meets regularly with research team members to review data accuracy.
Develop and maintain a spreadsheet for tracking patient activities and financial management as needed for Baltimore
Meets regularly with Principal Investigators and data specialist to review data and study progress.
Overseeing quality control procedures for data collection and abstraction of study related participant health data from electronic health records.
Troubleshooting recruitment and data collection across all 3 sites.
Managing data collection system, including CTMS, Redcap, etc.
Managing IRB, DSMB and progress report submissions.
Organizes CORE team and all study-related meetings and provides weekly updates to PIs.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) for projects.
Provide feedback to staff on performance.
Assist with recruitment and data collection as needed (when staff are unavailable).
Collaborates and coordinates services with other HIV/AIDS service providers and community agencies.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
3 years related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications:
Related Master's preferred.
Some supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Detailed oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks.
MPH skills.
Working with communities and across sites to implement study procedures.
History of working with LGBTQ communities.
Qualitative and quantitative experience preferred.

JHU Equivalency Formula:
18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

Starting Salary Range: $45,195 - $62,225 annually (commensurate with experience)

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
