You will play a pivotal role in providing specialist data protection advice to the University regarding compliance with the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (”UK GDPR”), the Data Protection Act 2018 and associated legislation.
You have a breadth and depth of experience in providing data protection compliance advice, as part of a professional service in a large complex organisation. You have detailed knowledge and understanding of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and related legislation.
You will expertise on all Data Protection compliance matters, as well as providing industry best practice advice to our stakeholders across the University.
You can covey legal compliance/technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.  You will also provide resilience to our on-going data protection compliance monitoring activities and data protection incident response capability.

This is a full-time, permanent post.
This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
This role is campus based with the opportunity for remote working.
The University’s normal practice is that new appointments will be made at the starting point of the grade.
