Full time starting salary is normally in the range £42,149 to £50,296, with potential progression once in post to £56,587
The Graduate Entry Medicine Programme at the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is a well-established route into Medicine for students who have graduated from other life-sciences programmes and provides an accelerated route for students to move into Year 3 of the MBChB programme. The programme is delivered using a range of lectures, seminars, practicals and small group teaching, using a student-centred and inquiry-based approach, based on problem-based learning.
The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic educator to join our team in training the healthcare practitioners of the future. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in Medicine or Medical Education to join the team in the College of Medical & Dental Sciences, and contribute to the design and implementation of an innovative curriculum.
The successful candidate will normally possess a higher degree (PhD or equivalent) in Human Physiology/Anatomy/Pharmacology/Medical Sciences/Medicine or Medical Education and will demonstrate extensive teaching experience/scholarship, preferably with experience in devising, managing and advising on problem-based or case-based learning.
They will also demonstrate skills in managing, motivating & mentoring others, will have excellent communication skills and be a team worker successfully at all levels.
They should have the ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes, and a PGCE in higher education is desirable.
