PhD Fellowship in Psychology of Belief

We are delighted to announce that one PhD Fellowship mainly funded by The John Templeton Foundation will be available for students wishing to start a PhD in October 2022.
This Fellowship pays tuition fees at the ‘Home’ (UK) rate of £4,567** for 2022/23 and a maintenance grant of £15,840** per annum for three years. International students are welcome to apply, but tuition fees will only be covered to the ‘Home’ rate.
This fellowship is specifically for a project supervised by Dr Jesse Preston
. Further details of this project can be found by following the academic staff link. Successful applicants should have a strong interest in research in psychology of belief using an experimental social-psychological approach. Experience with research design and statistics are assets.
Applicants should, as a minimum, have an Upper Second-Class undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related field, but preferably a First Class undergraduate degree or a Master’s distinction in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Philosophy, or a related field. International qualifications that are equivalent to UK qualifications are also acceptable. In addition to the academic entry requirements, successful International applicants are also required to satisfy the English language entry requirements ( ****). Please note that Psychology is a Band B subject.
