Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join a NIHR funded i4i project; NIHR203834 Calibration and utility of ARTEMIS-A: a web application for early identification of mental health difficulties in secondary schools (0.8FTE).
This 0.8FTE role offers the opportunity to contribute to the further development of ARTEMIS-A, a web application (app) for accurate and rapid identification of mental health difficulties in secondary school pupils, which uses Computerised Adaptive Testing technology in Greater Manchester. We aim to optimise ARTEMIS-A for the secondary school population and to explore how feasible ARTEMIS-A is for mental health assessment in schools. These aims are reflected in two work packages:
Work package 1 (0-12 months): Optimisation, calibration and accuracy of ARTEMIS-A in Greater Manchester secondary school pupils aged 11-16 years.
Work Package 2 (2-12 months): Qualitative exploration of how ARTEMIS-A fits with current Greater Manchester Secondary schools. This project is a 12-month study in which we will collaborate with schools, young people, parents and relevant professionals in Greater Manchester.
You will work with Prof Karina Lovell and the team leading the study in Cambridge with Prof Tamsin Ford, Prof Peter Jones, Dr Joanna Anderson, Dr Anne- Marie Burn and Dr Jan Stochl. This is a 0.8 WTE post and you will be office-based at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. campus on Oxford Road.
You will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area, and be expected to coordinate and deliver project activities including meeting and co-ordination of schools and CAHM’s services, qualitative data collection, trial implementation and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) activities to time, target and budget. Experience of working with participatory approaches with young people is essential. You will be expected to ensure effective regulatory, financial and human resources procedures are in place to deliver the work. This will involve extensive liaison with the project team and collaborators.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
Please note that we are unable to respond to enquiries, accept CVs or applications from Recruitment Agencies.
