Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic interventions and support (individual and group) for students experiencing significant emotional/behavioral/environmental challenges
Case manage and work with students’ school team to coordinate supports
Maintain confidential records, notes, and assessments
Communicate with other service providers such as pediatricians, social workers, and outside agencies to provide support to families
Provide psychoeducation to school staff that focuses on adolescent mental health
Help students experiencing difficult life situations develop strategies and coping skills
Facilitate student support/therapy groups based on identified needs
Collaborate around systems-level interventions including Restorative Justice practices, truancy, and Social-Emotional Learning through the lenses of trauma-informed, equity, and social justice
Provide crisis prevention and intervention (we should chat about this one because there are challenges to this piece-liability, “crisis” 24/7=on-call services?
Maintain data and create quarterly reports of students that receive mental health services
Help improve the referral process for equitable access to mental health services
Participate in specified school-based teams that support student mental health
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline
Experience working with youth with mental health challenges
A Clinical License (
LICSW, LCMHC)
OR on the Roster of Non-Licensed & Non-certified Psychotherapists
Clinical supervision
