The Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking to appoint a Research Project Co-ordinator to support a new £850,000 ESRC-funded project called
0-3s, Tech and Talk
. This two-year project will be conducted with Co-Investigators in universities in the four UK nations, and focuses on how 0-3- year-olds' interact with digital media at home, what devices they have access to, how long-standing social divides determine digital device ownership, and how parents, carers and siblings in diverse UK communities support 0-3-year-olds' early talk and literacy with digital media.
Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate:
The Directorate is responsible for central management and delivery of RKE strategy. We support academic departments in the development of research income and the wider research environment, impact and public engagement, business partnerships and collaborations.
The role:
The Project Co-Ordinator will be a primary point of contact for the project team, and required to support the Principal Investigator, liaising at a strategic level with the Co-Investigators and Research Associate in the development and delivery of the project.
The Project Co-Ordinator will be responsible for: supporting the communication and marketing plan; record-keeping; data storage management; monitoring project expenditure; arranging meetings and impact events, (in person and online); monitoring deadlines; and undergoing training to ensure smooth project administration. The appointed person will be the first point of enquiry for the project and will deal with enquiries from external individuals and organisations.
About you:
You must be educated to degree level or have substantial equivalent experience with a proven track record of managing projects, preferably in Higher Education research. You will be highly organised with an ability to prioritise service objectives. You should also have:
Proven experience of managing projects, dealing with data management and ethical administrative support
Ability to write accurate and detailed project reports
Demonstrable experience of meeting deadlines within a project environment, managing diaries, arranging meetings (in person and online).
Experience of facilitating workshops/events, preferably with experience of working with young children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and understanding of interdisciplinary working.
Ability to work as part of a team and strong communicational skills to engage with diverse stakeholders including families, government and high-level partners.
Experience of marketing, social media and writing newsletters and project blogs.
Experience within a Higher Education setting and a passion for work in connection with very young children and their learning.
Hybrid working is offered for this role. The nature of the role requires some presence on campus, with an option to work remotely for part of the week.
