Position Description Summary:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in Fall 2022 for a scholar in the field of criminology and criminal justice whose work is rooted in a critical, anti-racist, social justice framework. We seek a scholar who will complement existing department strengths and contribute to teaching and advising needs in the MA program in Criminology, the undergraduate Criminal Justice major/minor, and the Law and Society minor, which are all housed in the Sociology department. The Department strongly encourages Black, Latinx, and Indigenous scholars to apply for this position.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The typical teaching load is two courses per semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field by the date of appointment. Candidates must provide evidence of a strong commitment to and promise of scholarly publication, grant-writing, and excellence in teaching.
