Principal Responsibilities:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Nursery and Pre-K is a vibrant and diverse community interested in supporting educators who find joy in engaging with young children. We are looking for educators who are passionate about supportive play-based learning in constructivist classroom environments. Our community is seeking team members who understand that the important work of early childhood education requires intentionality and flexibility. We are looking for educators who know what it means to slow down and be fully present with children through all aspects of their day. Team members should be able to provide emotionally responsive care and supervision, and engage in learning through play and inquiry. If you see yourself as a lifelong learner interested in dialogue and collaboration with children, fellow educators, and families then this may be the community for you.
Our school operates on a nine-month school calendar with the opportunity to work summer camp. The JCC offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes a family membership to the JCC and discounts on offered programs and services. In addition to personal and sick days, Teachers are entitled to the following a host of vacation days.

Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; a minimum of three years experience teaching young children.
Must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults.

Essential that he/she have the personality and ability to provide warmth, leadership and stability for program continuity. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with both parents and co-workers. Knowledge of Reggio-Emilia and the constructivist approach is a plus.
Salary:
$35,000 - $45,000
