About the History Department :
The Department of History prepares students for service by studying the past as it relates to the present and to the future. Our approach affirms diverse heritages, welcomes long-neglected voices, applies innovative tools, interacts with other fields of study, and cultivates the virtue of hope in a world that is both deeply divided and globally interwoven.
Job Description:
We are seeking a History Instructor to teach the History of the Pacific Northwest. This Upper Division course is required for all future educators and is an elective in the History major. This course introduces students to the history of the Pacific Northwest from the eighteenth century to the present. It explores the social, economic, political, and cultural development of the Pacific Northwest over time, and it focuses on race, ethnicity, gender, and class. Students use primary and secondary source readings, films, field trips, class discussion, and more to study this regional history.
Requirements:
Master's Degree in history or relevant field
Commitment to support active participatory learning experiences
Commitment to preparing future educators

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $782-$1017/credit.
Faculty salaries at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. are based on nationally-normed, regionally-adjusted, and discipline-specific data from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Specific salary offers will be determined by the level of education and years of relevant experience.
