Main Purpose of Post:
The primary aim of the Student Cases Assistant will be to provide administrative support for student cases including extensions, academic misconduct, academic appeals, attendance monitoring reviews, student complaints, fitness to practise and student disciplinary etc. The post-holder will also have responsibility for the production of publications and web resources, to a professional publishing standard, ensuring accuracy and consistency of information and provide advice to stakeholders.
The development and delivery of services:
Make positive contributions to the development, delivery and monitoring of services to enable effective provision of a high-quality student experience.
To identify and make suggestions or recommendations on how to improve procedures and processes.
Make positive contributions to procedures and systems relating to student cases.
Networking and Engagement:
Engage with internal stakeholders in respect of student cases.
Liaising with External Bodies, students, and Faculties on student cases.
To work in partnership with Professional Services, Colleges, the Students’ Union and Student Representatives etc to support the delivery of a high-quality service.
To share best practice and key developments with colleagues.
Contribute to the design and delivery of workshops and training events relating to student cases.
Management Information:
Producing management information reports as required.
Delivering and supporting the development of Academic Services procedures and systems.
Specific Duties:
To provide specific support for student cases including extensions, academic misconduct, academic appeals, attendance monitoring reviews, student complaints, fitness to practise and student disciplinary etc.
To be responsible for managing the CRM system and providing management information reports as required.
To be responsible for the maintenance and distribution of template documents and forms relating to student cases.
To understand and explain regulations and procedures as the first point of contact for a range of stakeholders.
Providing support for Student Academic Services in the production of publications and web resources, including the sections of the Academic Guide, to a professional publishing standard, ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
