RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, writes and edits material for reports, instructional manuals and related technical and administrative publications concerning training delivered at the training center.
Conceptualize, research, design, develop and/or revise reports, training curriculum and printed material for instructor-led classroom training in domestic and international environments
Responsible for the research, development, production and release of accessible, up-to-date, effective course material to include: design documents, PowerPoint presentations, Instructor Guides, Participant Guides,
Program of Instruction (POI's)-
course descriptions and supplemental material (tests, handouts, check sheets, fact sheets) using standard development processes and templates
, training procedure manuals, assessments and certification questions
Ensure all curriculum, documents and records are formatted and marked in accordance with Export Compliance and Training Department Policies and Procedures
Be familiar with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) as they relate to curriculum
Analyze requirements for projects to determine the type of curriculum needed
Design and produce illustrations, charts and graphs for use in training
Edit, standardize or make changes to material prepared by other personnel in order to maintain uniform style and language for regulatory compliance
Continuously improve the quality of existing training by researching, updating, implementing and documenting content updates
Work closely with Technical Writers, Program Managers, Instructors, pricing experts and other stake holders to formulate training approaches and materials to build courses that meet clearly defined objectives, reach multiple audiences, take advantages of learning technologies and build powerful learning solutions that combine solid design, rapid development and creative delivery
Operate computers, digital cameras, scanners, printers and other technology as needed
Identify innovative training solution(s) to training challenges and opportunities
Keep current with new developments in training trends to include future training development and evaluation programs
Maintain and ensure physical security and accountability of curriculum, lesson plans and supportive instructional material
Input technical data into appropriate databases

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Must have knowledge of the documentation process and development cycle
Must be adept at translating technical jargon into an easily relatable format for general audiences as well as industry professionals
Military or Law Enforcement background preferred
Intermediate-to-expert skills with MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and internet research
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

****WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required, and work schedule will vary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
