Applications are invited for the above fixed term, full-time Research Assistant technician post working in the School of Natural Sciences, Bangor University. 
Duties will include providing technical research assistance in growing microbial cultures, preparative purification of recombinant proteins, protein analysis, enzymes assays, product identification and quantitation, as well as providing assistance in using experimental equipment and helping setting up experiments. 
Candidates should be educated to A level or NVQ level 3 standard or equivalent in Chemistry or a related subject or an equivalent recognised qualification in AV/IT. Previous experience in molecular biology and protein biochemistry is desirable. 
The successful candidate is expected to start as soon as possible, and the post is available until 30/01/2023 in the first instance with potential extension subject to funding.
