About The Job
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently
recruiting for an Instructional Designer in the department of Human Resources. The chosen candidate will be a talented, client
focused, and innovative member of Learning and Professional Development. The
incumbent is skilled at collaborating with internal subject matter experts and
departmental training staff to conceptualize, storyboard, design, and implement effective
learning solutions across multiple delivery channels. The individual will
strive to deliver scalable, customized learning experiences that
create measurable results and business impact for the target audience.
Areas of focus:
Planning
and Needs Analysis- 30%
Partners collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand learning needs and align on learning objectives, learning experience design components, and timelines to meet shared business outcomes.
Develops instructional design strategies, consistent with the resource constraints of the project, which reflect project goals, scale and scope.
Analyzes content, target audience, job tasks, and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies and define measurable learning objectives that describe the desired result.
Uses storyboards, prototypes, graphic representations, and design thinking approaches to communicate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders for the proposed learning strategy early in the design process.
Identifies and integrates learning evaluation metrics into the program design plan.
Revises designs as necessary based on stakeholder feedback and changing conditions.
Learning
Design and Development- 40%
Models innovative learning paths, curriculums, and coursework while applying recognized instructional design principles and best practices that drive performance improvement.
Creates interactive, engaging, experiential, and high-impact learning experiences, content, and materials that:
Apply ADDIE, SAM, and Agile design methods,
Leverage adult learning theories, incorporate brain science, and address the needs of the learners and the organization, and
Include formal synchronous and asynchronous modalities, blended and social learning, and informal methods.
Creates instructor guides to document coursework, to facilitate understanding of lesson plans, and to support the delivery of a consistently remarkable training experience
Design
Implementation and Management- 20%
Prioritizes projects and pivots as necessary to achieve organizational objectives.
Updates and edits existing training content to keep it current and innovative, helping to guide the future of the programs.
Conducts train-the-trainer sessions to prepare internal facilitators and subject matter experts to deliver learning material.
Monitors key performance indicators to analyze program results, communicates with key stakeholders to ensure learning outcomes are aligned with business requirements, and revises programs as necessary to improve outcomes.
Special
Projects- 10%
Consults with Program Curriculum Manager and Learning Technologist to support projects impacting the department.
Supports enterprise technology implementations as needed.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field of adult learning is strongly preferred but will consider certifications/certificates in Instructional Design with related work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in instructional design and/or curriculum development with the proven ability to convert strategies to effective and engaging learning solutions (work samples required.)
Experience with innovative design approaches which may include graphic design, micro-learning, responsive design, gamification, simulations, and animation/motion graphics.
Demonstrated proficiency with major design and eLearning authoring environments, such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or Captivate, etc.
