Position Description Summary:
The Interior Architecture Program at the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a non-tenure track Special Service Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture. The initial three-year appointment (with opportunity for renewal) beginning in fall of 2022.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The faculty will teach a 3:3 load, to include the studio sequence in the new Post-Professional one-year Master of Arts in Interior Arts in Interior Architecture Program, as well as an additional course in the
BFA
MFA
, or MA Program. Supporting classes include topics as diverse as professional practice, graphics, sketching, sustainability, and building systems. The faculty will assist the Interior Architecture Program Head and the Director of Graduate Studies on all aspects of the program such as marketing, recruitment, and retention. The individual will take on additional program, school, university and departmental service, community service/engagement, as well as developing collaborations and/or partnerships with faculty across the Corcoran and the broader university and DC community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have at the time of application:
Master's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Interior Design,degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
Completed the
NDICQ
or
ARE
exam.
Seven or more years of professional and/or academic experience.
