The S.O.A.R. summer program is seeking experienced and energetic teachers to support students in gaining critical reading and math skills through high-quality, focused academic programming and through theme-based enrichment activities and field trips over the course of the 5 week summer program.
Please make sure you provide clear evidence of the following criteria in your application.
- Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
- Ability to commit to work all 5 program weeks, June 27th - July 28th
- Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols and PBIS
- Knowledge of elementary research based best practices
- Training and experience with English Language Learners
- Evidence of strong connection with students and families
- Understanding of summer learning or previous experience working in a summer learning program.
Dates and Position Hours:
In-Service Date: June (TBD), 1 day
Program Dates: June 27th - July 28th. No program July 5th
Hours: 28 hours/week, daily schedule 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
