The Department of Kinesiology at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking applicants for a Tenure-Track position with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Health and Physical Education major (dual emphasis on health education and physical education) with a start date of August 2022. Courses that may be taught by the candidate include, but are not limited to, undergraduate and graduate courses in the following areas: pedagogy for physical education, health content and youth risk behavior, motor development & assessment, supervision of teaching field experiences in health and physical education and/or other core major requirements. Undergraduate and graduate advising within the Health and Physical Education program will also be required. Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Have a terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D.) in physical education, health education, curriculum and instruction or related areas.
Show evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level with demonstrated experience in preparing future health and physical educators to teach using approaches and strategies that honor the diverse array of learners in their classroom.
Have a strong, well-defined research agenda in their area of specialization.
Have a demonstrated record of publication and potential to secure external funding.
Include examples of service to the field that supports the mission of the university through departmental, university, community, and professional service.

Experience working with K-12 schools
Experience working across disciplines to promote improved health and academic outcomes among K-12 students
