Chemistry Teacher Description Blair Academy   School Setting: Blair Academy is a co-educational, grade 9-postgraduate boarding school situated on 460 hilltop acres just minutes from the Delaware Water Gap and approximately one hour west of New York City.  The school is 80 percent boarding, possesses exceptional facilities and faculty housing, and is committed to the continuing education of the faculty. Learn more about our campus and programs at the School’s website at ****.   Position Available : Blair Academy announces an opening for a chemistry teacher.  We are searching for an enthusiastic, student-centered, and collegial teacher who will share in the responsibility of ensuring that our teaching of chemistry at Blair is inquiry-based, appropriately challenging and cohesive with the other science classes in our sequence.    The strongest applicants will have the following qualifications: A love for the subject of Chemistry and drive to inspire that passion in students; Interest in lab-based, inquiry driven, hands-on and interdisciplinary approaches to teaching chemistry; An interest in teaching students of all levels, from the introductory level through AP; An advanced degree in chemistry or a related field, or an M.Ed. with a B.A./B.S. in chemistry; A strong commitment to collaborating with colleagues to create curricular materials; A versatile background in science with the ability to teach other subjects if needed.
