Bering Straits Logistics Services (BSLS) has an immediate opening a Technical Instructor/ Course Developer in Lexington, Kentucky.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a government owned, contractor operated facility that supports National Guard Homeland Defense equipment fielding and training.
Develop courses of instruction that allow supported units to effectively use and maintain highly technical CBRNE equipment.
Develop instruction courses that are exportable and user-friendly.
Personally instruct courses both in-house and travel to unit locations to conduct instruct courses.
Use train the trainer methods to maximize number of people trained.
Use video, photographs, and information technology to develop quality instructional courses.
Must be able to support 24 hour surge capability at short notice.
NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Requirements :
Required:
HS or GED; Associates or higher degree preferred.
2 - 3 years experience as an instructor.
Completion of Army Instructor Training Course or equivalent preferred.
Military CBRNE experience preferred.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Chemical and/or Toxic Agent Training using approved training support packages.
Experience in the use of specialized CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Explosive) equipment and clothing.
Ability to catalog CBRNE items and create kit and component lists.
Able to don chemical protective gear and operate in toxic training areas.
Ability to develop lesson plans, work instructions, and Standard Operating Guides.
Ability to teach and instruct in a clear, effective manner.
Prior military experience is a plus.

As a condition of employment, candidates must have acceptable background check results and pass a pre- employment screening. Must obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, granted interim clearance within 90 days of employment.
