Camp Discovery Summer Program positions are open to current Tacoma School District regular Education Support Professional staff only. External applications will not be considered.
Summary of program:
Camp Discovery will engage each participating student in project based learning. This summer program is for incoming 3rd - 5th grade students. Each grade will follow a theme for the summer and students will work to create a project by the end of the program.
Additional Information:
The selected candidate must meet ESEA requirements of 72 college level credits OR hold a valid AA or higher degree OR have previously passed the ParaPro test.
Title I/LAP Summer Program – Camp Discovery (formerly “Reading Camp”)
The applicant system will require a resume/document be uploaded; simply attach a brief statement that you have Education Support Professional experience if you do not have a current resume.
Program Overview:
This program is held for current 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade students, entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade for the 2022-2023 school year.
Program Dates:
June 27, 2022 – July 28, 2022, Monday – Thursday. (No program Monday, July 4)
Staff Daily Schedule: 8:00am – 1:30pm
Required Training Dates:
2 hour Camp Discovery Curriculum Training - May 17 or 19, 4-5pm online
On Site Team Training and Preparation - June 21-23
