Description of Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership will teach graduate courses in Educational Leadership across multiple modalities (In-person, synchronous online, and hybrid). There is an expectation of contribution and continuous improvement to the core curriculum of the program as it relates to ethics, change, collaboration, communication, and demonstrated improvement of student achievement. Student advisement and service on departmental and campus-wide committees is also expected.
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree or CAS in Educational Leadership with New York State Certifications in both School Building Leader (SBL or SAS) and School District Leader (SDL or SDA) at time of application
A minimum of 10 years combined of P-12 educational leadership roles at both the Building Level and the District Level
A minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching at the college level
Knowledge of current New York State initiatives, mandates, regulations, infrastructures, and experiences
Educational advocacy involvement
Proven experience with quality instructional techniques in both the online and in-person formats
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership or related field
