The School of Public Health and Health Professions at the University at Buffalo (UB), State University at New York (SUNY), invites inquiries, nominations and applications for the position of professor and chair in the Department of Biostatistics. Together with faculty and school leadership, the next chair is expected to develop, promote and support a compelling vision for moving the department forward.
The school seeks an accomplished researcher and educator distinguished by excellence in both statistical research and academic leadership. The successful chair candidate will possess the knowledge, vision and energy to steward the growth and success of Biostatistics in the ongoing pursuit of its academic, research and service missions. The department chair is a 12-month appointment that reports to the dean, supported by the State of New York and represented by United University Professions. The school comprises five academic departments: Biostatistics; Community Health and Health Behavior; Epidemiology and Environmental Health; Exercise and Nutrition Sciences; and Rehabilitation Science.
