These Clinical Tutor posts within the clinical psychology doctorate (DClinPsy) and clinical associate in psychology MSc (CAP) programmes are permanent roles. The positions offer exciting opportunities to be involved in shaping development of a psychological workforce at a time of significant expansion for both programmes and the psychological workforce more broadly.
Please note, these are available either solely on one programme (DClinPsy or CAPs) or across both programmes subject to experience and interest of potential applicant.
You will be based within the clinical team managing placement co-ordination and trainee appraisal. Contribution to other aspects of programme delivery will also include teaching, assessment and research supervision. There will also be opportunities to contribute to teaching and research within the broader school
You will join growing and innovative programme teams with a wide range of specialty and skill. The Plymouth Doctorate programme is based in the South West (South Devon and Cornwall). The CAP programme is delivered remotely more broadly across the South West. Strong relationships with service leads, supervisors, service providers and service users have been generated within these areas and consultation and cocreation are central values to both programmes. Both programmes also champion the importance of inclusion and diversity and take a critical and reflective position.
The Doctorate Programme is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council and accredited by the British Psychological Society.
The CAP Programme is an Apprenticeship Degree delivered in line with the Institute for Apprenticeships guidance and is currently applying to be part of the first round of BPS accreditation. Both programmes are hosted within the School of Psychology which is has a suite of linked developments including an MSc Clinical Psychology programme.
