Are you a Library Assistant with experience in front-line library services who is keen to take the next step in your career?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy User Services team where you will play a pivotal role in assisting in the day-to-day organisation and support of our staff and service. You will also play a lead role in supporting our Library Experience and Engagement Manager with their user engagement activities including the design of physical and digital marketing materials and our social media.
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated and team-orientated person, with good interpersonal and communication skills, and experience of providing front-line support to library or information service users to join us in providing an efficient and welcoming enquiry service.
You will also undertake clerical duties as well as regular shelving and stock handling duties.
You will have:
•    A good general education to A level standard or equivalent
•    Experience of university libraries or other information-oriented work including dealing directly with users and working with a library management system
•    Experience of using social media channels and blogs
•    Good interpersonal skills for customer care and team working
•    The ability to cope with the physical demands of the job
